Absolutely Stunning: Calacatta Gold Quartz Worktop and Kitchen with Island in London
Wow! We are absolutely thrilled to share one of our recent projects with you – a breathtaking kitchen with island in London that truly showcases the transformative power of beautiful stone. Our client was looking for a modern yet timeless feel for their kitchen renovation wanting a bright airy space that was also incredibly practical for everyday family life and entertaining. The star of the show? A magnificent Calacatta style quartz worktop that just oozes sophistication.
The Heart of the Home: The Quartz Kitchen with Island
The centrepiece of this kitchen with island in London is undoubtedly the substantial island itself. Topped with the same gorgeous quartz worktop material it provides ample space for food preparation casual dining and socialising. It’s become the true hub of the home a place where family and friends can gather. We meticulously planned the island to maximise functionality without compromising on style ensuring seamless movement around the kitchen.
Our team at MG Granite handled every detail with precision. This included crafting perfect hob and sink cutouts for a sleek integrated look. For the undermount sink we also incorporated practical sink draining grooves directly into the quartz – a subtle but highly effective feature that adds to the worktop’s usability and helps keep the area tidy.
To continue the clean lines and protect the walls we installed matching quartz upstands around the perimeter worktops. These provide a neat finish where the worktop meets the wall making cleaning a breeze.
But perhaps one of the most striking elements is the full-height quartz splashback. Extending from the worktop up to the cabinetry and beautifully framing the window behind the sink area as well as providing a stunning backdrop for the hob this feature truly elevates the design. Using the same Calacatta style quartz for the splashback creates a cohesive and luxurious feel tying the whole room together. It’s not just practical protecting the walls from splashes and spills it’s a design statement in its own right.
The entire quartz worktop installation including the intricate work on the island the precise cutouts the functional draining grooves and the elegant upstands and splashback was completed to our exacting standards. The client was absolutely delighted with their new kitchen with island in London and we can see why!
