We recently completed a full kitchen stone installation for a homeowner in Morden. The client chose Classic Quartz (CQ) Stone in the popular Mystery design. To complement their kitchen layout and ensure long-term durability, we fabricated and fitted premium 30mm thick material.
The Specification
This project was a brilliant example of how using the same stone across different surfaces creates a seamless, high-end look. The installation included:
- 30mm Worktops: Custom-cut to fit the main kitchen counters perfectly.
- Large Hob Splashback: A full-height stone splashback fitted behind the cooking area, making it both a focal point and easy to wipe clean.
- Upstands: Matching quartz upstands running along the walls to protect the plasterwork.
- Window Sill: A bespoke stone window sill cut from the same slab to tie the whole room together.
Why Classic Quartz Mystery?
Classic Quartz is a fantastic choice for busy households. The Mystery offers a bright, elegant surface with subtle veining that mimics natural marble, but because it is engineered quartz, it is completely non-porous. It won’t stain from coffee, wine, or oils, and it never requires sealing.
